With sadness, ERA announces the news of the passing of Lloyd Mullin, long-time manufacturers’ representative. He passed away peacefully at the age of 86 in Naples, Fla.
Lloyd grew up in Newton, Mass. and attended Our Lady’s High School. He served in the Army for two years and then attended Northeastern University in Boston. Lloyd started working at CompRep Associates in 1964, ultimately buying the business and running it successfully for the next 40 years, while also starting other companies EDS, Diamond Advanced Components and Storex.
Lloyd was a CPMR and was inducted into the ERA White Pin Group in 1987. He was integral in the formation of the Manufacturers’ Representatives Educational Research Foundation (MRERF).
Lloyd enjoyed coaching his children, playing golf, socializing at Brae Burn Country Club in Newton, singing in Saengerfest, with a performance at Royal Albert Hall in London, and serving on the Board of Trustees at Northeastern University. He loved spending time on his boat and at his summer homes on Cape Cod and was a founding member of The Ridge Club in Sandwich. Lloyd continued to be active on the golf course and in his communities after relocating to Fort Myers, Fla.
He leaves behind his wife, her two daughters, his three children and eight grandchildren.
There will be a Celebration of Life on January 6, at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Meyers, Fla. Interment services are private.
