2022 Industry Forecast
ERA strives to stay on top of industry trends and opportunities. To keep its members up to date on current industry issues, ERA put together its sixth annual industry survey.
The survey was conducted online in December 2021 and presents ERA rep, distributor and manufacturer feedback about business in 2021-2022 and offers a current industry assessment and 2022 business outlook.
While there are certainly areas of concern – COVID-19 still remains an issue, as well as supply chain disruption, chip shortages and inflation; and 80 percent of respondents expect operating costs to increase in 2022 – there are still many positive key indicators.
Eighty-four percent of members anticipate that 2022 will be a good business year for their organization. Seventy percent of respondents reported an increase in business revenue for 2021 compared to 2020. More than 60 percent expect an increase in revenue in 2022, and nearly 90 percent of respondents reported their firm is in very good or good overall health. The economy, revenue streams, cash flow and business partnerships were the top areas of importance to members who took the survey.
