ERA Announces 2023 ERA Conference Day One General Session Speakers

Bernard Baumohl

The Electronics Representatives Association (ERA) is pleased to announce that Bernard Baumohl and Chris McChesney will be the general session speakers on the first day of the 2023 ERA Conference, which will be held Feb. 26-28, 2023, at the AT&T Conference Center in Austin, Texas.

For the third year in a row and back by popular demand, Bernard Baumohl, chief economist at The Economic Outlook Group, will present the first general session on the morning of Monday, Feb. 27. Baumohl’s presentation, “Navigating Through Economic Uncertainty” will discuss how companies of all sizes are testing new strategies to operate successfully in a new and evolving business landscape. Leaders of these companies can gain more clarity by listening to Baumohl discuss where the U.S. and international economy are headed; upcoming economic and geopolitical situations that may erupt and how can your business insulate itself from those shocks; and the outlook for consumer and business spending, inflation, interest rates, the job market, supply chains, energy prices and the dollar.

Chris McChesney

“The 2023 ERA Conference committee is happy to announce that Bernard Baumohl will be returning to speak at the conference due to very positive attendee feedback on his expertise and insight,” said Amy Rooney, Director of Global Accounts at RFMW, Ltd., and General Session Committee co-chair. “The speaker selection committee prioritizes providing fresh and meaningful content to the attendees, and the economy has offered no shortage of fresh data points. Bernard was ranked by the Wall Street Journal as the most accurate economic forecaster and is well-equipped to guide us through those data points, in a way that will empower us to move on and move beyond, into the next stage of growth.”

Chris McChesney, global practice leader for FranklinCovey and author of the best-selling book “The 4 Disciplines of Execution,” will present the afternoon general session on Monday, Feb. 27. McChesney’s presentation, “4DX,” will dive into the universal challenges of why almost every leader and every organization will struggle with execution. McChesney will teach the simple, but profound, disciplines that can be applied the very next day, but take a lifetime to master. McChesney’s presentation on executing strategy was rated as one of the top three presentations at the world’s largest leadership conference, the Global Leadership Summit in 2016 (with 350,000 attendees). He has also given the 4DX presentation at locations around the globe with the World Business Forum.

“The committee is excited for conference attendees to hear from Chris McChesney,” said Joe Braun, CPMR, partner at EK Micro, General Session Committee co-chair. “Chris is a very dynamic and engaging speaker that will energize the conference with his stories and thoughts while presenting his four disciplines of strategy execution. The audience will surely have some valuable takeaways to implement in their organizations from this nationally recognized and awarded presenter and Wall Street Journal best-selling author.”
