ERA announces that Jacob Shapiro will present the first General Session at the 2027 ERA Conference in Austin, Texas, which will be held Feb. 21-23, 2027.

Shapiro, a geopolitical analyst, wealth strategist, public speaker and podcast host, will lead the first General Session on Monday, Feb. 22, titled “After the Bubble: AI, Robots and the Physical Economy of the Next Decade.” He will explain why AI is both a bubble and a transformative technology—and why the electronics industry must recognize both realities to prepare for a rapidly but unevenly emerging future.

Combining a futurist’s view of what is possible with a strategic forecaster’s assessment of what is probable, he will explore three areas: how AI and robotics will reshape industries, identities, cultures and relationships with government; how these shifts are inseparable from changes in the physical economy and global supply chains; and how geopolitical competition at the technological frontier will shape and enable these advances.
