MONTHLY POS REPORTS
The industry finished the year on a downward trend as evidenced by a lower fourth quarter. December 2023 was the lowest POS month of the year, down 7 percent from November and 15 percent below December 2022. The fourth quarter of 2023 was 10 percent down from the same time last year. Year over year shows a 5 percent decrease when comparing 2023 to 2022. Although 2023 started off fine, it declined quite a bit during the second half of the year. A graphical analysis of 2023 shows that the last three months have dipped significantly.
Budde Marketing will be creating new analytics next month and will give its projections for 2024 at that time.
