MONTHLY POS REPORTS

August 2024 was more of the same as far as POS activity. The first eight months of this year are about 5 percent below last year’s first eight months. When comparing August 2024 to August 2023, POS activity is also about 5 percent down.

The month of August is generally a good month for POS. This year represents the third largest month of the year, which is the same as what we saw in 2023. Overall, POS activity continues to be flat for the year, with no significant gains or losses. We continue to believe that the balance of the year will be the same. Election years are often volatile but 2024 POS activity is remarkably consistent.
