MONTHLY POS REPORTS
June 2024 is down significantly from June 2023, and the second lowest month of the year, with only February being lower than June. Second quarter was just 1.2 percent below first quarter numbers; the second quarter of 2023 was 9 percent higher than this year.
Overall, POS activity is basically flat for the year, with no significant gains or losses at this time. We continue to believe that the balance of the year will be more of the same. Election years are often volatile but 2024 POS activity is remarkably consistent.
